The Nissan X-TRAIL's 2.5 litre engine punches out all the power you need to make it up a muddy ravine as easily as passing a roadtrain on the highway. And it does it without jarring your bones or assaulting your ears.
In fact X-TRAIL's silky smooth shifting, excellent acceleration and impressively economical fuel consumption makes the choice of 5-speed manual or 4-speed auto transmission a purely personal decision about which driving style turns you on most.
2.5 litre 16 valve DOHC
The X-TRAIL's 132kW, 2.5 litre petrol engine has just about as much grunt as you could ever want in a Compact 4WD. X-TRAIL's latest generation engine is one of the largest in its class. It features 132kW of power and 245Nm of torque. Outstanding low and mid-range torque combined with plenty of high end power to deliver an exhilarating and rewarding drive.
Electronic 4WD Selection
Select 2WD for normal road travel and you'll receive the best fuel economy possible.
Choose AUTO and X-TRAIL's electronically controlled 4WD system seamlessly takes care of everything. Nissan's ALL MODE 4x4 system activates the Electronically Controlled Coupling to deliver the required torque to the rear wheels not only when it detects slippery conditions but also when it anticipates a loss of traction when accelerating or on start-up. This is the ALL MODE 4x4 advantage - it ensures stable performance at all times even in mud, gravel and on slippery slopes.
And when you want the full grunt of low-down torque, press the LOCK button. This sets a front to rear torque distribution ratio of 57:43 for maximum traction.
4-speed Automatic Transmission
An advanced E-Flow lock-up torque converter enhances the efficiency of the transmission and improves driving performance. Extending the lockup area helps deliver improved economy particularly when coasting. A self-learning computer balances the shift oil pressure for optimum shift performance and handling control.
High Level 3 Dimensional Tail Lights Rear Tailgate Design
These brilliant 3-dimensional tail lights are not only large, but also mounted high on the D pillar to offer outstanding signal visibility for drivers behind you.
